To better understand how young women experience and navigate personal safety, LogicMark surveyed 1,500 Gen Z women across the United States about their everyday experiences, concerns, behaviors, and safety preferences. The survey explored everything from situations that make women feel vulnerable to the workarounds they use to get out of uncomfortable or unsafe situations.
The findings reveal a generation that has become remarkably adept at managing its own safety. 85% of Gen Z women say they have used a hidden workaround to escape an unsafe situation—from fake phone calls and shared locations to texting a license plate number or using a code word with a friend.
These aren’t isolated tricks. They’re strategies women have learned, shared, and refined over time—often because they don’t have any other options.
And that raises a bigger question: What does it mean when staying safe requires this much preparation?
